We are created (Engineered) in the image of a caring, loving, all wise, excellent… good God. About that, there is no question. But why the pedophile, the serial killer, the rapist, the wife batterer, the unfaithful spouse, the drug addict…and such tendencies as are ungodly?
.… Can the image be so different from the object? NO. Atleast similar.
How come created in the image of Him who successfully runs the whole universe, we fail in running our own ‘little’ affairs such as our aspirations,career, businesses, dreams, relationships, marriage, etc…on this basis I must say, something is terribly wrong.
…A case of ‘wrong software’ running the ‘right hardware’.
Let’s say, for a start, it’s a case of ‘wrong software’ running the ‘right hardware’. A new computer doesn’t come with software. The right software has to be installed otherwise the computer fails to carry out the intended task. If a particular computer doesn’t have photo shop for example, you won’t be able to edit photos. The hardware is engineered to successfully carry out such tasks but only upon installing the right software. Everyone is born with inbuilt success mechanisms.
…Everyone has what it takes, success is in our genes!
The reason why everyone is not succeeding in my opinion is a ‘programming’ issue. When we visited planet earth, we found a world that speaks. Our parents called us names so did our teachers, this was the voice of authority saying we couldn’t amount to anything, so, we took it in and our confidence went down with it. Beauty was defined to us, and we didn’t measure up, so our esteem was deflated. We met people who lied to us, broke our hearts shattering our ability to trust, thus affecting how we now relate…THE LIST IS ENDLES. On the other hand, the all wise and knowing God, from whom we came, gave us the software specifications if we are to activate our inbuilt success mechanisms and exhibit His character. The software should have programs such as Love, patience, faith, self esteem, self control, self denial, discipline, confidence, perseverance, persistence, endurance, forgiveness, a positive attitude, honesty, faithfulness……with such programs running in you, failure becomes very hard to achieve! Acquire them at any cost and install them in the breastplate of your heart- (hard disk)
…Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the issues of life.
There are some programs which when introduced to a system, corrupt it. They are called viruses. Transmitted from one system to another through storage systems such as CDs, USB drives, flash disks and internet downloads. Such gadgets need to be scanned well before they can be ‘accept’-ed. We should be more careful with ourselves than we are with our computers, ‘scanning’ the company we keep, what we listen to, watch, read and what we choose to believe. Such things interfere with how we function, leads to unwanted results, and/or complete destruction – crash!!! I
It’s the right programming that enables a computer to function as was intended to (desirably) A virus makes it ‘act differently’ or ‘exhibit undesirable behavior’…This tells you why what disgusts one person, another finds delicious. Why one man’s meat is another man’s poison. If you are still wondering why the pedophile, the serial killer, the rapist, the wife batterer, the unfaithful spouse, the drug addict…READ AGAIN and do what needs to be done to rid you of interfering programs before you are…‘grounded’!
